Diane Riha (Asche)

Diane Asche, 55, of Columbus, passed away April 25, 2015 at her home in Columbus, Nebraska.

Funeral Mass is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Vincent De Paul, Seward, with Father Christopher Barak officiating. Visitation is at 9 a.m. at the church with a 10 a.m. Rosary Service. Burial: is at 2 p.m. April 30 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, David City. Memorials: Family Wishes.

Diane Kay was born February 9, 1960 to William and Mary(Samek) Riha, in David City, Nebraska. She graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School. Diane enjoyed going to garage sales, and thrift store shopping. She also loved horses and wolves. Diane had a great love for her children, grandchildren, and her dogs "Nola", for 17 years, "Lakita", and "Hawk".

She is survived by her parents: William and Mary Riha; fiancé: Tom Broam; children: Kasie (Al Korb) Asche, of Lincoln, Tara (Greg) Hallock, of Shawnee, Kan., Kyle (Kristin) Asche, of Lincoln, and Brittany (Michael) McLeod, of Brownlee; 6 grandchildren: Talyn, Addie, Aaliyah, Kayla, Carter, and Malechi; ex-husband: Rick Asche; brothers: Scott (Cathy) Riha, Rick (Steph) Riha; sisters: Cheryl (Lynn) Moxham, Patty (Wayne) Madsen, Sandy Sprouse; and several nieces and nephews.

Diane is preceded in death by her grandparents: William and Helen Riha, and Alois and Mary Samek. Arrangements by Chermok Funeral Home, of David City. chermokfuneralhome.com

Worked with Diane in Wahoo at Denver Plastics. We had a blast talking about the good old days, I am very saddened to hear of her passing. RIP!

So sorry to hear about Diane.  She was a wonderful, kind spirit.  Hung out with her on and off during Jr & Sr High. We did have lots of fun!  My Late Husband, Mark was really good friend's with her.  Loved to give her such a hard time at the Bethany dinner.

It was really a shock to hear that Diane had passed away. I haven't been back to the old neighborhood since my mom passed away.  I remember growing up with Diane and Lori Robison in the circle.  We had some great times.
